1- Chickens start laying eggs from 21 to 24 weeks of age.

2- Chickens usually don't simply "stop" laying eggs when they get to a certain age, but they will lay fewer as they get older.

3- On the commercial level, they lay up to two years, and sometimes less.

4- A hen lays around 280 eggs per year.

5- Their eggs increase in size as time goes on .

6- They lay once in 22 hrs.

7- You may be lucky to have 450 eggs daily when you have 500 birds, if there is no egg failure.

8- For adequate production, provide light for them from 6 pm to at least 10 pm before light's out.
